Acceptance of Terms

These provisions (including the Privacy Policy)  set out the terms and conditions on which you may make use of the company services, products and the sarahlouiseartist.co.uk website (the “Site”).

By using the Site you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms then do not use the Site.

About Us

Sarah Louise Artist is owned and managed by Sarah Plant, the Artist, as a sole trader.  The company is based from the Artist’s home address, care of Grange Cottage, Mochrum Park, Kirkcowan, Newton Stewart, Wigtownshire, DG8 0BY.

Copyright

Sarah Plant, as creator, automatically owns the copyright of all her artwork.  Upon the sale of an artwork, the Buyer may make copies of their purchased artwork for their personal use only i.e. for no financial gain and no commercial use.

All content on the Site and images of our products may be used for social media sharing (e.g. Facebook, Pinterest) provided it is done so in a fair and legal way and does not damage our reputation or take advantage of it.  When sharing you must credit Sarah Louise Artist and link to this Site.

If anyone wishes to use the Site’s content or images of artwork for any other purpose they must contact Sarah Plant to gain permission.  Anyone found to be in breach of Copyright shall be legally pursued.

For all original pieces of artwork, a digital copy is held by the Artist to produce copy prints as required for sale.

Product Description

Photographs are supplied for every product.  The product’s colours may differ slightly from the photographs due to variations in how the colours are presented on the Buyer’s device screens.

Dimensions are provided for every product and the Buyer must check these before purchasing, as no refund can be offered once the order is dispatched.

All prices are clearly stated in British Pounds (GBP).  Extras such as mounting, framing and delivery shall be priced as additional charges making up the total order value.

Sarah Louise Artist is not a VAT registered company and so VAT does not apply to any order.

Delivery

Delivery charges for products purchased from the online Shop are as follows.  Only exception being for any commission, or product requiring a bespoke hand-made frame, the cost of delivery shall be priced separately based on size, weight and fragility of the painting/print & frame.

FREE – with Customer Collection from DG8 0BY by Appointment

£5.00 – across UK including Highlands & Islands (£3.00 for a Buyer purchasing 3 or less Greetings Cards/ Gift Certificates)

£15.00 – across Europe (£6.00 for a Buyer purchasing 3 or less Greetings Cards/ Gift Certificates)

£30.00 – worldwide (£12.00 for a Buyer purchasing 3 or less Greetings Cards/ Gift Certificates)

Please allow up to 7 days for dispatch and delivery across mainland UK.  Mainland UK orders shall usually be sent using First Class Recorded through the Royal Mail.  Only if the order’s size and weight is bulky will an alternative carrier method be considered.

It may take up to 21 days for delivery to a non-mainland UK destination and a suitable carrier shall be determined based on the size, weight and delivery address of the order.

We can deliver to an international destination.  In this instance the Buyer is wholly responsible for any potential import fees levied by their country’s border control.

Payment

Upon placing an order through the Site, the Buyer’s name, residing address, delivery address, e-mail address, contact number, credit/debit card number, card expiry date and card security number shall be needed and processed through Stripe, our secure payment platform.

For Commissions, the Buyer’s name, residing address, delivery address, e-mail address and contact number shall be needed to request payment by Bank Transfer in British Pounds (GBP) via an invoice.

To schedule a Commission, a £25 booking fee per commission shall be requested to secure the order(s) in the Artist’s diary.  A start date for the Commission and a delivery estimate shall be agreed with the Buyer when the booking fee is requested.

The balance payment shall be due when the artwork is complete and ready for dispatch.  Upon receipt of the balance payment, the Commission shall be dispatched for delivery.

Refunds

Only if the order arrives damaged through transit (photographic proof is required before the package is opened) shall a refund be considered after the order has been dispatched.

Cancellations

Should the Buyer wish to cancel an order made on the Site prior to the order being dispatched, a refund can be processed less the transaction fee.

In most cases orders made through the Site will be dispatched same day or next day, so if you need to cancel an order you must contact the Artist immediately to determine the order status.

If the Artist needs to cancel or amend an order made on the Site, the Buyer shall be offered alternative product options or a full refund.

Only if the Buyer requests the cancellation of a scheduled Commission out with 6-weeks of the start date, may the £25 booking fee be refunded less the value of any work done or materials purchased in advance.

If the Buyer requests the cancellation of a scheduled Commission within 6-weeks of the start date or after the start date, the £25 booking fee shall be retained to cover the value of work done and materials used.

If the Artist needs to cancel a scheduled Commission the £25 booking fee shall be refunded to the Buyer in full.
