In 2018 I studied portraiture at the Robinwood Art School and although it was difficult, I loved the maths behind the scaling of the facial features. Mixing all the different skin tones and colours in oil paint was enjoyable too. I generally don’t paint portraits, but to remind myself that I can I keep this self portrait framed at home in our living room.
