It’s been an exciting week with the first batch of Giclée prints arriving from our supplier in Edinburgh.
I sent my Simply Ailsa collection to the printers and have now received a set of 15cm square greetings cards, 10cm square Giclée prints and 20cm Giclée prints.
Giclée prints are a more budget friendly option for anyone wishing a particular painting to take home but the original is out with their price range.
If you have never heard of Giclée it’s a particular printing technique that prints faithful reproductions of original artwork with no loss in colour, clarity or detail.
My preferred supplier uses an 11 colour pigment ink set which covers 98% of the colour spectrum and their inks don’t fade over time.
They also use a beautiful textured ph neutral paper and that means the prints won’t yellow or discolour over time.
