Commissions

Do you, or someone you know, treasure a special place and a view that brings back fond memories? I can re-create the vision on canvas in any size, supplied either framed or unframed for yourself or as a gift.

Usually based on a good quality photograph, I will work with you to determine the best shape, size and composition to suit the scene.

I may also visit the location to capture mood, light and tones should the detail not be available in a photograph of your own.  For a location out-with Wigtownshire, a charge for travel shall be added to the commission price.

Should you require a smaller or larger size not listed here please just get in touch and I can offer a quote for your favoured canvas dimensions.

You can choose to have it delivered unframed (for you to source a frame yourself to match an interior), or I can take it to a local framer to have it framed for you prior to delivery.

An oil commission can take around 8 to 10 weeks including drying time, so do get in touch early so I can advise what availability I have for start dates in my diary.

For any artwork requiring a bespoke handmade frame we usually add on 2 to 3 weeks to allow the professionals to frame it at a local gallery.
