I was asked to create a painting to be used for this year’s Kirkcowan Parish Church Christmas Card.
So one frosty Autumnal morning I popped across to the village to capture some photos in the morning’s golden hour.
We agreed upon the favoured snap and I recreated the photo on canvas in oil (water mixable) paint.
My husband kindly took a high resolution digital image which was used to adorn the 2024 Advent card.
The original painting, titled “Morning Glory”, has been gifted to the village to help raise funds for the community.
