In 2018 I spent a few days over in East Lothian and took some dramatic photos of Bass Rock surrounded by dark skies. One of those images inspired my first go at “alla prima” painting tutored by Joan at the Robinwood Art School. I loved the thickness of the oil paint using the wet on wet technique.
